About Library
The reading room and the library of the Center for Women’s Studies form an integral part of working in the field of women’s studies. They have been initiated to serve the needs of our students and collaborators, that is, the educational-research orientation of the studies. Over the years, the library has become specialized and open to a wider circle of users.
Readers can browse through more than 3800 volumes of books, 78 journals (eight are received regularly) from the field of women’s and gender studies and feminist theory (in English, German, French and Croatian), and also available are newspapers, brochures, audio and videotapes, slides, promo materials and newsletters of women’s groups from Croatia, Southeastern Europe and the world, along with texts by Women’s Studies students. We are in possession of a part of the archival documentation significant for the history of feminism in Croatia and especially valuable are the records created in the framework of the Center’s research projects.
The library of the Center for Women’s Studies is open to public Thursdays from 3 pm to 5 pm.
