Kultura, identitet, politika – znanstveni skup u čast Dunje Rihtman-Auguštin

U Knjižnici Instituta za etnologiju i folkloristiku od 25. do 27. listopada, održava se Znanstveni skup u čast Dunji Rihtman-Auguštin pod nazivom Kultura, identitet, politika. Popodnevne sesije previđene za 26/10 održavaju se u Memorijalnom stanu Marije Jurić Zagorke.
Bogat znanstveni opus dr. sc. Dunje Rihtman-Auguštin (1926-2002) upućuje ne samo na plodan rad ove međunarodno priznate znanstvenice, dugogodišnje ravnateljice Instituta za etnologiju i folkloristiku, nego i na vibrantnost disciplina – etnologije, kulturne antropologije i folkloristike – tijekom druge polovice 20. stoljeća unutar kojih je djelovala. Tradicija i njezina mijena u suvremenosti, konstrukcija identiteta te suodnos kulture i politike u svakodnevici i ideologiji, okosnice su teorijskog i etnografskog promišljanja Dunje Rihtman-Auguštin.
Polazeći od tih okosnica, na tragu širine tema kojima se bavila, i ovaj skup zadržava teorijsku, metodološku i istraživačku širinu i otvorenost te će uključiti izlaganja vezana uz sljedeće teme:
- etnologija svakodnevice
- rodna i feministička istraživanja
- istraživanje grada
- simboli identiteta
- strukture tradicijskog mišljenja
- etnologija socijalizma i postsocijalizma
- politički folklor
- etnologija, turizam, baština
- multidisciplinarnost, teorija
- profesija i angažman

The seminar deals with the meaning and dynamics of feminist art and theory in different environments determined by cultural geo-politics, studying the complex relations of feminist art’s effect on the world of art. How did the feminist movement contribute to the process of hybridization of institutions, what forms of innovative institutional practices were under direct influence of feminism, and what position does feminist art occupy today within critical art practices are some of the questions the seminar wants to address.
At a time when we need all available resources in order to understand the complexity of the social processes around us, we also need to strengthen responsibility within the cultural field, where re-actualizations of the feminist paradigm can represent an important deposit in that process, an indicator of many contradictions and unexplored political potentials.
Women, Peace, Security
The two-day seminar Women, Peace, Security – From Traditional to Feminist Concept of Security was held on December 3-4, 2010, organized by Women in Black and the Center for Women’s Studies. This project questions the traditional and militaristic understanding of the concept of security from a feminist-anti-militaristic perspective.
The project continues with the promotion of the humane concept of security, the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 and other important international documents relates to the gendered dimension of security. Some of the goals of this project are common creation of the feminist concept of security, building a just peace in accordance with the needs of women and women’s human rights.
